One troop check or debit card will be issued to one signer and used for all purchases and be supported with a receipt. Cash will be used only for emergencies or when other forms of payment are not accepted. A receipt is required. The other signer is to review the bank statement each month.

Legal action will be taken if necessary, which may result in civil and/or criminal prosecution for the amount owed plus attorney fees and court costs.

Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions are used to debit/credit troop and service unit accounts during the Fall Product Program and/or Girl Scout Cookie Program. This authorization will remain in effect until terminated in writing by an authorized signer.

I understand that if our troop participates in product programs, the council must be paid in full, and that any outstanding debt must be reported by the deadlines provided. If at any time I fail to turn over outstanding debt forms, monies, and/or information for collection of troop outstanding debt, I will be held financially responsible for this outstanding debt.

I have read and agree to the policies and responsibilities outlined in Volunteer Essentials (including but not limited to the Troop/Service Unit Banking Policies) that are required of an adult Girl Scout who handles troop funds. I agree to follow the above policies and model responsible financial behavior to the members of my troop and/or service unit. I understand this is a girl-led organization, and all financial decisions must be based on accurate financial information. Should I become unable or unwilling to follow these policies, I will notify the other adult members of my troop, as well as a Girl Scout staff member, to be removed as a bank account signer.

I understand I am financially responsible for all financial activity involving the troop bank account. Failure to account for funds will be considered misappropriation of funds and may result in civil and/or criminal prosecution for the amount owed plus attorney fees and court costs. I also understand I will be removed from all volunteer positions with GSCSA.
